NWU MEN’S BASKETBALL: Prairie Wolves Rally To Earn 22-Point Win Over Johnnies

SUPERIOR, Wis.–(KFOR Nov. 8)–The No. 8 Nebraska Wesleyan Men’s basketball team rallied back to earn a 78-56 win over No. 12 St. Johns-Minnesota Friday night, to open up the season.

St. John’s led NWU 25-22 at halftime, but the Prairie Wolves outscored the Johnnies 56-31 in the second half to win the matchup of top 15 teams in a four-team tournament at Superior, Wisconsin.  NWU shot 63.3% from the field in the 2nd half after opening the game at 33.3% in the 1st half.

Jack Hiller led all scorers with 27 points, making 6-7 from 3-point range.  Nate Schimonitz recorded his second career double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds.  Schimonitz added 7 steals and 6 assists in the opener.
